Flutter vs React Native: Which Is Better for Your Startup in 2026?

By BlueFlute Software

We are not writing a history of Google and Meta. We build and publish Flutter apps — Raipur Homes, Hawlt, Tawasi, taxi apps in Iceland — and we choose the stack based on the product, not a Twitter thread.

Where Flutter has worked for us

One codebase to both stores, consistent UI, and a team that can move from listing screens to maps without splitting into two native squads. That is why most of our mobile work starts in Flutter unless there is a hard reason not to.

Where we would pause

Heavy AR, unusual Bluetooth hardware, or a client who already has a large React Native team. We will say so. Forcing Flutter into a shop that only knows React Native is how you pay twice.

React Native, briefly

It is a valid choice if your web team already lives in React and you want one language across web and mobile. The trade-off is upgrade churn and more native-module work. We discuss it honestly; we do not pretend we have shipped as much RN as Flutter.

What we decide in discovery

Stores required, reuse of an existing web app, maps/payments/realtime, and who will maintain the app in two years. Then we recommend. If you want the process we use, read how we work.
